Academic

The participants will have the chance to attend a two week academic course, compliant to the European Credit Transfer System. The course is organized by BEST-Skopje in cooperation with a professor, who is in charge for the verification of the course diplomas.

The official language used during the course will be English. In accordance all of the lectures will be held in this language. The course will consist of 42 hours minimum of academic lectures in a period of 14 days, held by professors from the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje, and trained lecturers from companies. At the end of the course the participants will be obliged to take a test, made in accordance with the course lectures. The participants that will pass the test will acquire a certificate that they have successfully completed the course.

BEST has adopted and uses the Credit Transfer System globally, which means that with the certificate acquired with this course, the student gets credits that are valid at the universities that have adopted the Credit Transfer System.

The academic course will take place in Skopje in the period 03 – 17 of July 2005. The participants will be around 30 foreign students from universities all around Europe, as well as 20 students from Macedonia, working both on the organization on the course and the lectures.

The subject of the course is: Food, Wine… the BEST of Macedonia.

 

According to the decision made by the Dean Prof. D-r. Ordan Cukaliev and the Vice Dean responsible for Education Prof. D-r. Tatjana Mitkova, the Faculty of Agriculture and Food is an official partner in this project, and offers all of its resources (classrooms, technique and professors available) in favor to this course.

The next professors and assistants from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food have agreed to lecture on this course:

During the course besides the lectures on the faculty, organized visits to the production sites of agricultural and food products are also planed. They will be accompanied by demonstrators from the companies, which are going to make lectures on the place of the production sites. With this visits the students, ours and the foreign, will be introduced to the capacity and possibilities of the Macedonian agricultural and food industry, as the first step for future cooperation.
