Who can come to Jamboree
You have to be a student and then member of a Local BEST Group to join us at Jamboree. BEST is an European student organisation and is active in many European countries. In general, every BESTie can join the Jam! But, there are some rules…
- the number of members per LBG is UNLIMITED
- every LBG has a contact person who sends us a list of participants until 25th September 23:00CET. Visit the list of contact persons of every LBG.
- if you want to come, apply in your LBG well before 25 September
- the first 5 persons on the list pay normal fee
- every next is extra participant - pays extra fee
After the final list have been sent to us (DL 25 September), every participant has to apply on Private Area until 29 September. Just follow this link.
There will be no last minute changes and we'll be strict about this, so please do everything on time! If you have any questions, feel free to ask us or the contact person from your LBG.
Fee
The fees are:
- 25 euro for BESTies coming from: Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia & Montenegro and Slovakia,
- 30 euro for BESTies coming from (countries with bigger GDP :-D ): Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Holland, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden,
- 35 euro for every extra participant, no matter the country. As said before, the number of extra participants is UNLIMITED.
You should also bring some pocket-money for postcards, suvenires and extra drinks.
Accomodation and food
We will be in “Eurotel”, a hotel on the shores of Ohrid Lake, 14km from the town of Ohrid. The rooms are 4 beded with a bathroom (and a balcony) in every room,
so........choose your room-mates :-)
The trainings will be held in different quarters and on open air, sometimes maybe even in water (we hope to have nice weather in October) and the parties will be in the big hall of the hotel.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the hotel.
Check list
- Passport (and visa if required ) (So we can sell it at the black market :-)
- Travel and health insurance
- Your student card (not strictly necessary)
- Contact phonenumbers and address just in case. (Just to feel how is to be ignored :-)
- Camera (For taking incriminating photos)
- National drinks and the necessary materials to prepare your traditional food for the international evening (Yes, Yes!)
- Some extra money for all the beautiful gifts and souvenirs you can find here for your friends and family and also for you. (and for us, the most magnificent organizers :-)
- Songs – your favorite music and the traditional music of your country ( CD - audio & mp3) (If you are good, maybe we will play them)
- Slippers , sandals or any light shoes you have (for whole day if you want your feet to stay as you got now :-) except for great parties witch we are planning for you – bring p arty suit or dress if you would like to look right) ) (like somebody will notice you :-)
- Sleeping bag (just in case) (if you are lost in the forest)
- Swimming suite (if you don't want to show us the nudist in you) - which is not a such bad idea :-)
- Bring your own towel and toothbrush, we are not planning to give ours :-) (but we plan to take yours ha-ha-ha (evil) :-)
- Guitar and everything else you still have a space for :-) (your boiler, car, fridge, washing machine etc)
- Your national flag (any size will fit) for international evening. The ones who won't bring their flag will be eaten next morning
- A LOT of smiles and enthusiasm (same punishment as above)
- The friendliest part of you… (your left elbow)
- Your HEAD! Without it you can't talk, so people will ignore you, you can't see where are you going, you'll hit trees and when you dance you'll look really silly.
