Drachevo is 10 km far from Skopje. This place is also well known by the name “Skopska blatija “. The dances and songs from this part show the most authentic dances and songs and struggle for girl. The folk uniform from this part is called “Rashtak”. This dance is another proof that nobody can surpass the generosity of people. |

The Ensemble for national dances and songs of Macedonia ”Tanec” represents the sole professional folklore ensemble in Republic of Macedonia. The principal activity the ensemble is to promote, process and present the folklore creative work by means of scene performances on concerts and festivals at home and outside in the world. Since
its foundation In 1949 until now-a-days, the ensemble participated in
30000 concerts in all continents of the world. It is a winner of the world.
It is a winner of the greatest world and domestic awards: Langolen, England
1950, World's Folklore Festival i prize, Republic of Macedonia 11 Oklomvri,
Kliment Ohridski, 13 Noemvri of the town Skopje etc.
The repertoire of the Ensemble.Tanec" comprises over 50 choreographic performances of national dances and songs from various regions of Macedonia and different contents. The Ensemble,,Tanec" has published long-pay record, audio and video cassettes and other kind of printed literature. By its cultural mission it represents an Ambassador of Macedonian culture and art in the world, The choreographic work ”Prespa dances" is a medley of about ten dances from the Aegean and Prespa region, significantly enriched and adjusted to scene presentation by^ authors Stojce Karanfilov and Kiro Zifovski. Even
at the very beginning of the choreography, at the first dance, aiming
to proceed the others to the last one, there is an obvious mutual influence
in sublimating elements of several foik dance traditions (Macedonian,
Albanian, Greek and Viach). July
