Travel Macedonia

You've seen Macedonia on CNN, BBC, Sky News and other services.

Now it's time for you to see the real Macedonia!

Bordering Northern Greece, Macedonia is a breathtakingly beautiful country of mountains and lakes. Ancient churches, mosques and other painstakingly preserved structures abound; Macedonia is a living history book reflecting Roman, Turkish, Slavic, Albanian, Romani (Gypsy) and other influences comprising this multi cultural society. Roman ruins, ancient walled fortresses, Turkish communal bath houses, ancient mosques, cave churches and old dwellings associated with the Eastern Orthodox Church are accessible to the visitor; the Cyrillic alphabet used by Russia, Macedonia and others was created in this region.

The choice of activities is unending. Music festivals and folk dance festivals are offered at Ohrid and other cities. Restaurants are plentiful; many with live music. Macedonian food is delicious; service is excellent and the wine is superb! Swimming, boating, sightseeing, people watching, sun bathing, wine tasting, hiking, exploring, fishing, etc. etc.; there will always be more to do then time permits.

Summers are for the people and all walk the streets of the "Korzo" nightly. Locals are friendly with English widely understood. If you like, take a walk by the lake or up the narrow cobblestone streets of Ohrid at 3AM, no problem for the area is very safe; try that in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver or San Francisco!

Travel Macedonia: Travel Macedonia is owned by the Diensi Company. Diensi has been doing business within Macedonia for several years and knows the people and "out of the way" interesting places. The website for our sister company, Diensi Consulting, will provide information on the Company and ownership. http://www.diensi.com.mk

Itinerary: All vacation packages are centered around the beautiful resort at Lake Ohrid. Exact trip itineraries are not fixed for this allows us maximum flexibility to include festivals and special activities with your vacation. At least four excursions will be offered each week. You have the option of joining any excursion or enjoying the many activities offered at Ohrid. Trips are booked weekly with flights arriving and departing during the weekend. If time permits, we strongly recommend allowing two weeks or more for your trip. Be careful! Ohrid is very seductive and the few savvy travelers who preceded you find themselves returning time and time again.

What's Included: Vacation Macedonia provides complete land arrangements to assure you of a "no hassle" vacation. Just about everything is included. Airport transport, hotel, breakfast & dinner with delicious Macedonian wines (beer or other beverages), all excursions plus our multi lingual staff to aid with special arrangements or whenever is needed. Macedonia does not readily accept credit cards and travelers checks are often difficult to cash so we even offer an exchange service where you can deposit dollars in the USA and receive Denars in Macedonia; eliminates the risk of lost cash!

Air connections are convenient. The best connection to Macedonia is offered by the Delta group using Swissair or Austrian Air. Again, we will assist in these arrangements if desired.

Sounds Interesting? Check out the following websites for more information on Macedonia then send us an e-mail stating the number of people traveling, age and approximate date of travel. We'll get back to you promptly with information on activities during that period, accommodation choices and cost.

Look forward to hearing from you soon!
