The patients with a specialist diagnose
of chronic non-malignant and carcinoma pain of the locomotor system are
examined and released from the pain successively. Also, a part of the patients
are transferred to the Clinical Center - Skopje for additional laboratory,
radiological and subspecialistic surgical and internal examinations.
The following, more
frequent syndromes of chronic pain are treated by planned methods of pain
release:

degenerative diseases of the muscle-sceletal
system and spine,
-
rheumatic diseases of the spine and joints,
-
muscle-skeletal pains during mialgia, miositis,
fibromiositis, fascities, tendinitis and bursitis,
-
neuralgic pain caused by degenerative, inflammatory,
circular, toxic and compressive diseases,
-
postrauma dystrophy of the soft tissues and
osteoarticular system,
-
vasospastic diseases (Birger's and Rajan's
disease), Scalenus syndrome, Herpes Zoster and postherapeutic neuralgia,
-
Malignant-carcinoma diseases.
Which method of the pain
release will be applied and administered in the patients- should mainly
depend od the: grade and type of the pain, duration of the pain and disease,
age and general condition of patients, type and time of previously consumed
analgesics and other medicaments, eventual presence of allergic dietesis
of the patients.
In the Pain Center,
the following most frequent pain releases will be applied:
-
intravenous- infusion and intramuscular administration
of combination of non-steroid and steroid analgesics with polyvitamins,
tranquilizers and antireumatics,
-
one- time or continuos application off regional
and local anaethesias and block of nerves, nerve plexuses and ganglions
by the help of contemporary local anaesthetics,
-
intraarticular applications of local anaesthetics
and other medicaments,
-
transcutaneous baterial nerve stimulation-
TENS,
massage and physical therapy.
