“A piece of theatre that has haunted me ever since…Two women on a trapeze, were like sisters in the moon, the trapeze a whole world where closeness, rivalry, dependency, were enacted through ingenious and terrifying manoeuvres. It was far more than admirable skill, too: there was a charged melancholy, an otherworldliness in these serene, beautiful faces…stars who should be packing in thousands.”

Ismene Brown, The Daily Telegraph

Description of the piece:
Stung is a high powered anti-gravity choreography performed with serene violence. Charged with emotional dents produced by human solitude and fear, three suspended bodies explore an androgynous world where beauty and strength can co-exist. With extreme athletic drive this choreography of swinging ropes and hanging sculptures is combined with light projections, live drums and the use of radio mics. Its Baroque/Sci-Fi aesthetics offer a rich contrast to what is a feat of flight imagery and choreographic invention.
