THE JUBELEE - SYMBOL OF ETERNITY

Time is Heavens' gift and any of us is requested to use it prudently, spending it in reverence, making good deeds, showing love to anyone. Therefore "if man wants to live and sees good days...let he be aware of evil and make good, let he seek peace and stride through it" (Ps. 33, 12 and 14-15). This emperor David's message is the one given to Old and New Testaments' godly man through Christ the God-man. Especially to us who live in a "fulfilled time" (Gal. 4,4-5) and especially in time that means jubilant time, time made of centuries spent with Christ the God, time when we mark the 2000th anniversary of the unity with God on the earth. Still, it is about time to see the time we live in so that we can follow the real time, both past and future. Because problems of time can only be solved in connection to the vision of eternity. On the eve of the momentous jubilee of the Christianity let us wish that God "teaches us how to count the days so to get wise hearts" (sp. Ps. 89, 12) and be able "to make good to anyone" (sp. Gal. 6,10). Knowing that God is the Master of time and He is the one who rules the Universe, let us pray to him to bless us to continue the path of good and be able, each of us and all together, to elevate ourselves in time bestowed by the Omniholder - in spiritual-national and church-state terms - as children of the Macedonian Orthodox Church and the Macedonian state, and as fellow brothers of the whole Christian and human community. God bless us and the time we live in, gifting us bountiful happiness in celebrating the great jubilee - 2000 years of Christianity!
