The Golden Camera 300 goes to:

for the film "Central Station"
It is a beautiful film. Emotional, touching and vibrant feelings. Walter Carvalho catches the soul of the human and makes it unforgettable.
The camera work and story melt together and become one. The Jury has the strong impression that Walter Carvalho has the spirit of the legendary Sven Nykvist.

Walter Carvalho's "Central do Brasil" is awarded for the use of simple film expressive means, the functionality of the photography and the documentary made shots in the natural countryside of Brasil.
